Dear STM Families,
Alleluia! He is Risen! Happy Easter Season! Fr. Justin shared at our all school Mass yesterday that the season of Lent is 40 days long while the Easter Season that follows is 50 days long. That gives us more time to be able to thank and praise our Lord for dying on the cross for our sins. It is also our opportunity to focus on the mysteries and doctrines of our faith so we can undertake the work the Spirit has in store for us in Jesus’ name. Fr. Justin stressed the fact that WE are the body of the Risen Lord here on Earth. STM students will work on displaying their Christ-like behaviors during STM Kindness Week next week. Each day has a specific theme that will allow them to practice treating others with consideration and care. Don’t forget to discuss these efforts with you each evening next week! The Easter Season also continues through the final weeks of our school year. I have listed the last day of school (Friday, May 19) for this year and the first day of school for next year (Wednesday, August 16) in the ‘STM IMPORTANT DATES’ below. There are so many activities between today and May 19! Please stay tuned and watch our Thanks so much to all who have completed the online registration process and worked with the business office to make plans for payment. If you have not completed both parts of the registration process, we have not put your child into a seat at their grade level. Classes are filling quickly, so please take care of these requirements ASAP: Online registration (see below) Financial arrangements (call or visit the Parish Office) A review of our registration numbers shows a healthy enrollment for next school year. It is still April, and we have already matched our current enrollment. I know that there has been ‘sticker shock’ regarding the increased combined Registration Fees that cover all of the former fees and a Tech Fee to maintain the safety and viability of all of the technology in our school. Please note that $500 of that amount can be made up through the Football Raffle Ticket sales in the fall. Questions? Please call the school office or the business office. I hope you can enjoy these warm temperatures and spring blooms with your family! St. Thomas More, pray for us. Peace & Blessings, Linda Crosthwait, STM Principal STM IMPORTANT DATES Friday, April 14 First Friday STM Spirit Wear Day (postponed from Holy Week)--Students may wear a STM Spirit Wear shirt (no hoodies, please) with jeans, khakis, or Spirit Wear bottoms (no Jammie pants, please).
